Travis "Standby" Allphin

 

Mr. Travis Lamar Allphin, age 28, of Irvington, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Travis was a veteran of the United States Army, having twice served his country in Afghanistan.  He was also a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA).
 

Travis was born on October 23 1987, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylon Neal Allphin; his paternal grandparents, Otha Floyd and Lamar Allphin; and his maternal grandmother, Frances Berger.

 

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Faith Allphin; four children, Jacob Allphin, Lindsey Clark, Mason Stilger and Anthony Allphin; his mother, Ann Baker; a brother, Bryan Allphin; a sister Beth Mosman; his maternal grandfather, Bruce Berger; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
 

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM on Monday, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Chaplain Larry Vance officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon-8 PM on Sunday, and after 9:00 AM on Monday. A graveside service, with military honors, was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association to aid all veterans.
