Scott "Spare Parts" Zimmerman

Scott "Spare Parts" Robert Zimmerman, 65, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at his home.

He was born January 6, 1961, in Champaign, Illinois, to his parents, Robert Marion Zimmerman and Alice Lee Remsburg.

Scott was a gunsmith at Fort Knox and a member of the CVMA®, VFW, and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years before retiring. During his military career, he served as a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic and door gunner. Following his retirement, he worked at Command Aerospace in Jacksonville, Florida, where he continued his career as a helicopter mechanic.

To his family, Scott was an honorable man, a devoted father, and a man among men. He was a loving husband, brother, and grandfather, and he will be remembered as a true Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
