Group Riding

WOW!  Who doesn't love to ride in a large pack with fellow brothers and sisters of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®?

It is a thing of beauty, it is loud, no doubt it is FUN!

Those who ride in a cage, we send our condolences as we bikers develop deeper bonds together and get our fair share of wind therapy.

But, yes there is always one of those...effective group riding is critical to the safety of everyone.

Important Tips

  1. Make sure your bike is well maintained and ready to go!
  2. Pay Attention.  Don't fixate on the bike in front of you.
  3. Ride Your Own Ride!
    • Only YOU know your limits; don't exceed them in a group ride.
    • Don't feel pressured to exceed your limits.  Arrive Alive!
  4.  Create a cushion between you and other riders.
    • We ride in staggered formations
    • No side-by-side riding
    • Bigger bikes (such as trikes) need more space
  5. Understand hand-signals being given by the leaders of the pack.
